Recipe For Falafel Hummus

The hummus cooks as a smooth, creamy dip, whipped with the richness of Falafel spices. It can be used over vegetables, sandwiches, and bread as well.

The cooking of this meal can be served 6 to 8 times. It takes just 5 minutes to prepare this dish.

Ingredients Needed:

One can of chickpeas, washed and drained

Two cloves garlic, chopped

Half tablespoon dried parsley

Pinch of dried oregano

Half tablespoon ground cumin

1/2 tablespoon ground coriander

Half teaspoon chili powder

1/8-1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1/4-1/2 teaspoon sea salt/kosher salt

Two tablespoons tahini

4-6 tablespoons filtered water

Three tablespoons of olive oil, which can be more while serving.


Chickpeas, spices, tahini, salt, garlic and four tablespoons of water are to be added in a mixer grinder to make a smoothie out of it. Due to its sticky nature, one might have to stop the processor and use a spoon to gather around all the ingredients stuck on the wall of the processor. After removing stuck particles, add olive oil, nearly about 2 to 3 tablespoons.

Depending upon the texture, if someone wants the mixture to be smoother, they can add up extra two spoons of water. After preparing the smoothie, one can taste the mix to adjust the salt content as per their likings. After adding salt, blend the mixture for the one last time.

After the mixture is ready, it pours in the serving bowl by adding olive oil on the top. The smoothie needs a proper texture and must look attractive. Olive oil and paprika are sprinkled all over it. It can be served as a dip for veggies as well as pita chips or wedges and can also prove to be a coating to salads which make it tastier.
